And many of those readers will not realize that it all started in the Netherlands.
The question is of course: how do you do that, start, build and develop such an international blog? What does it take? To find out, I spoke to founder and owner Boris Veldhuizen van Zanten .
Three Reasons to Start a Blog
Unlike many other successful blogs, it all didn’t start with a blog. It started with the very first The Next Web event in 2006 (this year the 10th edition will take place on April 23 and 24 ). Michael Arrington of Techcrunch.com was one of the speakers. As a blogger, he saw something in organizing events. Because, he told organizers Boris and Patrick , blogs and events fit together perfectly. They soon realized that he was right. “At the first Techcrunch event in San Francisco we saw that it met a need, india number list that combination of online and offline. Patrick said: we can do the opposite.”

In addition, they noticed that their own blog about start-ups attracted a lot of traffic during the event. “It was clear that safe2home: security should not be a luxury! our tone of voice appealed to a certain group of readers, although the traffic dropped off completely afterwards.”
A that it had not been easy to get attention for the event through traditional media. “It was very difficult to get into conversation with traditional publishers. All that effort yielded little and the effect was also very difficult to measure.” A blog would give Boris and Patrick a wonderful channel of their own.
