Autumn is all about cybersecurity

Making the digital world more secure – that is the goal of European Cyber ​​Security Month (ECSM). Under the leadership of the European IT security agency ENISA, the member states of the European Union offer various events and information on cybersecurity in October.

Launched as a pilot project in 2012, the ESCM is aimed at citizens and organizations for prudent and responsible use of the digital world.

Bitkom is launching the ESCM at the end of September with the Cybercrime Security Cooperation . The cooperation will meet in Leinfelden-Echterdingen from September 25 to 26.

This year’s event , entitled “Internet of Smart Things. When the Coffee Machine Blocks Access,” focuses on the security-relevant aspects of smart home applications. It offers a wide range of expert presentations and discussions on topics such as car forensics. Organized crime, and legal and data protection issues.

An evening event at the end of the first day will serve as a forum for getting to know each other and sharing experiences. More than 200 experts from security authorities and Bitkom are expected to attend.
