Describe the epidemiological, phenotypic and genetic Greece Email List characteristics of optrA- bearing clinical isolates identified in the surveillance of antimicrobial resistance by the laboratory of the National Institute of Health of Colombia. Methods. Between October 2014 and February 2019, 25 isolates of Enterococcus spp . resistant to linezolid. Identification and antimicrobial sensitivity were determined with Vitek 2 and the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) to linezolid was established with E-test. The optrA gene was detected by PCR. The genetic diversity of isolates positive for optrA was analyzed with Greece Email List . Six isolates were selected for whole genome sequencing. Results. The optrA gene was confirmed in 23/25 isolates of E. faecalis from seven departments of Colombia. The isolates presented a MIC for linezolid between 8 and> 256μg / mL. Diversilab® typing indicated wide genetic variability. All isolates analyzed by whole genome sequencing presented resistance genes fexA , Greece Email List and were negative for other mechanisms of resistance to linezolid. Three type sequences and three variants of optrA were identified Greece Email List segment, associated with plasmid, while in two isolates ( optrA-6 and optrA-5 ) the transferable chromosomal element -like was found .
Antimicrobial resistance profile of Acinetobacter baumannii in a tertiary care hospital in Honduras
Acinetobacter baumannii is considered a global public health Greece Email List threat due to its high rates of antimicrobial resistance and the serious infections it can cause. Little is known about the resistance of this pathogen in Central America, so the purpose of this report is to describe the antimicrobial resistance profile of A. baumannii through a study carried out in a tertiary care hospital. in Honduras. Between 2015 and 2017, a cross-sectional analysis was carried out in the tertiary care laboratory at the Honduran Social Greece Email List Security Institute in San Pedro Sula. A total of 113 consecutive microbiological analysis reports were analyzed, in which the isolated strains of A. Baumann They came from a group of 100 people. Epidemiological and microbial data were recorded, as well as isolation environment and patient information. The prevalence of multidrug resistance and extensive resistance was assessed based on international standards. Skin and soft tissue were the most frequent samples from which the A. Results of the Rational Use of Antimicrobials Program in a hospital in Mexico

An observational, cross-sectional, retrospective and descriptive study was designed. Antimicrobial consumption from January 2013 to December 2018 was analyzed through the calculation of the defined daily dose (DDD); For the cost analysis, a traditional costing calculation was performed. Characteristics of Klebsiella pneumoniae strains that produce two carbapenemases in an outbreak in Venezuela
To characterize the carbapenemase-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae Greece Email List isolated from patients treated in a hospital in Cumaná (Sucre, Venezuela). Methods.
